ScanConnect

This is the central tool to scan paper documents or read image files directly from the hard disk as virtual scan.

Optionally enable scanning options such as ADF or Duplex if your scanner does not automatically enable them.

Then you can choose what to do after scanning, such as Separation: White separation sheets are searched and the documents are separated into individual parts.

ScanConnect supports virtually all commercially available scanners, duplex scanning, as well as the automatic document feeder.

Extensive scanner support (Subfunction 1 from 8)

ScanConnect supports nearly every standard TWAIN compatible scanner. The list of supported devices is constantly updated by the integrated LiveUpdate and existing devices optimized.

Select scan program (Subfunction 2 from 8)

You can choose from several programs to perfectly scan your document. Select "Text documents" if you want to scan a text document, "Documents" in case you want to scan documents, or "Colored documents" if you want to scan colored documents. This will give you maximum quality for your preview images.

Scan options (Subfunction 3 from 8)

Optionally enable additional scanning options if your scanner does not automatically enable them. "ADF" for automatic document feeding, "Duplex" for automatic document feeding and two-sided scanning. "Manual ADF" means that you will be asked after each scan whether additional pages should be scanned. Then PaperOffice automatically merges all individual scanned documents into a common document. "Manual duplex" means that you can manually double-sidedly scan. After all the front pages have been scanned in, place the stack with the back side in the document feeder.

After the scan (Subfunction 4 from 8)

Here you can already select before scanning what should happen after the scan. Choose "Optimize" and PaperOffice automatically optimizes your document: margins, holes, stains are removed. "Crop" - means that your document will be aligned, the margins will be detected and adjusted. "Separate" - Add white sheets to your stack to separate them into individual documents. "Clean up" - If your document contains white pages and you activate this option; PaperOffice removes the white pages and saves your document.

Import scan documents from a directory (Subfunction 5 from 8)

For all scanners that do not have a TWAIN interface, the option Scan2Folder can be selected (eg Fujitsu, ScanSnap, etc.). PaperOffice will monitor the target directory you selected, wait for the scanned PDF document to be present and then process it as a scanned document. In addition, the two options, such as "crop" and "optimize", can be selected for the maximum scan quality.

Import scanned documents via Cloud App (Subfunction 6 from 8)

Scan through the app of your cloud provider (such as Dropbox App, One Drive App, etc.). Select the directory in which the scan is to be saved. PaperOffice will monitor the target directory, wait until the scanned PDF document is available and then process it as a scanned document.

PaperOffice barcodes print on label printer (Subfunction 7 from 8)

Every single document stored in PaperOffice receives an unique PaperOffice ID. This ID can be printed out of the document properties in the form of a QR code. Or, if your documents have not yet been scanned into PaperOffice, the QR Code ID can be printed out as a single label using the label maker (such as the Brother label printer). So you can print out the unique PaperOffice ID, attach it to your document and scan it into PaperOffice.

PaperOffice barcodes print on A4 label sheets (Subfunction 8 from 8)

Every document saved in PaperOffice receives a unique PaperOffice ID. This ID can be printed out of the document if it has already been saved in PaperOffice or the ID can be attached to the document before it is saved. For example, To scan the inbox with a quick scan and to provide the documents with QR codes, we recommend to print out the QR codes in advance on a DIN A4 label sheet. So you can quickly provide the input documents with the codes.
